WHY USE A NATURAL DEODORANT?
Sweating is a natural body function, a necessary part of our bodies’ natural cooling process. Antiperspirants work by clogging, closing, or blocking pores with powerful astringents like aluminium salts to prevent sweating. This interferes with the body's ability to regulate it's temperature and eliminate toxins.
Once an antiperspirant wears off, the underarm sweat glands increase perspiration production to compensate. This creates a sweaty cycle, in which we need more antiperspirant to fight it.
Natural deodorants, on the other hand, neutralize body odour while also killing odour causing bacteria. And since they do not interfere with the body's natural processes, natural deodorants are the best choice.
The longer you use a natural deodorant, the less you sweat overall. When making the switch to a natural deodorant, be patient, give your body time to adjust and don’t expect instant changes. You are likely to go through a detoxification period where your body may produce more sweat and odour. This happens as your body works to rid itself of accumulated chemicals and toxins.
If you’re going out for the day, take your natural deodorant along and reapply a couple times throughout the day, and when applying a liquid roll-on natural deodorant, make sure you let it dry fully on your armpits before putting on your clothes.
