Concealers
Concealer is a beauty essential that can brighten up a tired face, cover up unsightly sunspots or blemishes, and remove under eye dark circles.
Probably the most important aspect to using concealer is making sure we choose the correct match to skin tone. If a concealer is too dark, it will just make the area we are trying to disguise appear more obvious, like a muddy patch of skin.
TIPS for colour choices:
- Choose a tone lighter than you skin tone if you are looking to highlight or just want to add clarity to your complexion.
- Choose a neutral shade that is similar to your skin tone (or even slightly darker) to cover dark spots or pimples.
TIPS for Application:
- Apply concealer first if you are using a powder foundation; or
- Apply liquid or cream foundation first followed by the concealer and then face powder.
It is always best to apply powder last to help your makeup last longer and to help stop the concealer from caking.
